Guardianship is a legal responsibility of a child, granted by the court. It is allowing the custody of a child and giving the right to be as his custodian. A guardian is not limited to any relation, as anybody can take the custody of a child with the court’s orders and permission. Thereafter, the child’s well being is absolute responsibility of the custodian. It is also called conservatorship. The supervision of court remains until a child is 18. When a person is legally approved to be a guardian, the child is given the name of his guardian and also given the right of being guardian’s inheritance.

Guardianship is a legal process used to protect individuals who are unable to care for their own well-being due to infancy, incapacity or disability.
